Local Leadership Our City Needs

“I will use my experience to make sure to put the people of SARASOTA FIRST.”

– Erik Arroyo

A Letter From Your Candidate For Sarasota City Commission, District 3.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

My name is Erik Arroyo and I am a business, wills, and trust attorney in Sarasota. As a first-generation American and high school graduate raised by a single mom, I understands the importance of perseverance and hard-work. I have seen Sarasota change and will fight to protect the integrity, taxpayers, and resources of Sarasota. As an attorney, I frequently acts as a Trustee to help manage and maintain trusts financially sound. In addition, I advise business owners and sometimes have to represent them at the Sarasota City Commission.  This job has allowed me to see the flaws in how the city is managed and I will use this experience to make sure to put the people of SARASOTA FIRST.

I met my wife in high school here locally and we are currently expecting our first daughter! Like you, I want my children to live and work in this beautiful piece of paradise we call Sarasota. My promise to you is this: I will fight to find common-sense solutions to the homeless and affordable housing situation in Sarasota, which has impacted businesses and families alike; I will fight for fiscal responsibility and be a strong steward to lower taxes and utility costs; and finally, I will fight to prioritize our infrastructure and improving traffic conditions in the City of Sarasota. If you reach out to me (my phone number is at the top of this page), I promise to always listen with an attentive ear, to always tell you my reasoning behind my position, and to always vote with a deep sense of responsibility to Sarasota.

The time is now to come together and fulfill our vision to improve our quality of life, to lower the crime rate, and increase public safety.

Remember to vote ERIK ARROYO on November 3, 2020.

With Warm and Humble Regards,

Erik Arroyo

Key Issues We All Face Living & Working,

In The City of Sarasota.

Traffic & Infrastructure

As Sarasota grows, we need to address the infrastructure and traffic needs of the city. Our street lights should be coordinated, we should not have multiple road projects occurring at the same time, and the city needs someone to manage these projects to help our traffic and infrastructure.

Mental Health, Drug Addiction & The Homeless

Finding sensible solutions to Homelessness is a priority for Erik. Mental health and opioid addiction have ravaged families in our region and Erik, having been involved with organizations that help combat homelessness, is ready to lead the city into finding common sense solutions.

Fiscal Responsibility

The city of Sarasota spends $5 Million a year on legal fees. Another $67 Million has gone into Lift Station 87, which is $58 Million over budget. Our pensions are underfunded by $170 Million. We need to rein in all the out of control spending. As a business attorney and trustee, Erik has the experience to help advise institutions on being financially solve.
